Rahmwirsing is a creamy and delicious dish made with savoy cabbage, perfect as a side for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 head savoy cabbage
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage and cut it into quarters. Remove the core.
  2. Slice the cabbage into thin strips.
  3. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  4. Add the cabbage and cook for about 5-7 minutes until it begins to soften.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Simmer the mixture for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cabbage is tender and the sauce is creamy.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish.
